  2. BUNGALOW BAPTISM
A few months ago one our newest customers used had to prepare for a baptism. Quite a challenge for an aphasic person. Here’s the note his wife wrote us.

Clay just to let you know that Jack is preparing to do his Grandsons baptism on Oct. 16 . We have put the words on to Sights & Sounds [ed. A therapy program] and he is able to correct his pronunciation of the words and names. I'm sure it is giving him confidence to be able to do it at the Sunday Mass. This is his first attempt to administer the sacrament in front of the whole congregation instead of only the family. Thanks for your help.

    -Barbara Walsh

    POETIC PRAISE

The poem "Stroke" [*]- I am crying. Oh my . . . how sensitive. And true. I don't know if I will ever get over the pain that my Dad must feel since his stroke 3 years ago. If I feel only a fraction of what he feels (and I am certain I cannot POSSIBLY feel his pain as intensely as he does), I don't know HOW he tolerates it. My . . . I guess it will take ME a long, long time too . . . :-{ My thanks to Malcolm Alden.)

    Jean.

Clay: - Jack did a perfect job at the Baptism. He practices everyday and puts in any word he has difficulty with. Now I can't get him off the computer. Barbara

Warning: this is a very detailed presentation on the structure of
the brain. It’s aimed at those interested in strokes. Very
clear and well done. If you know which part of the brain was
damaged and you understand what that part of the brain does, then
you can better understand the *effects* of the stroke.
