[Dividing Line Image]

  1. Choose a location to download the self-installing program.
    • Recommended: A floppy disk (e.g., A: drive). Insert a blank diskette into that drive, or
    • Create a temporary directory on your hard drive. (e.g., c:\temp). This can be done with the File Manager (in Windows 95, use the Windows Explorer).
  2. Click on the file you would like to download. Your Web browser will prompt you with several option buttons, including Save To Disk.
  3. Select Save to Disk. You will be prompted for a location to save to.
  4. Choose the location selected in item #1, above.

Helpful Tip: Many people find it useful to create a Download directory on their computer, e.g., "c:\download".  Any software you download goes in that directory.  Then you always know where you put it.   An additional benefit is this creates an archive or library of all software you have downloaded.  That's useful if you ever need to reinstall it or someone else would like a copy of it.

  5. Wait for downloading (approximately 15 minutes per 1,000KB on a 14.4Kb modem).
  6. After file has downloaded, run the file name. (Use File/Run in Windows 3.1 and Start/Run in Windows95). It will self install on your computer.

Frequently Asked Questions about Downloading:

  1. Do I need to worry about getting a virus?
No.  We have a virus scanner running on our computer at all times.  In 4 years, we've only encountered one virus, which did not get onto our computers because we detected it before putting the program on our computer.  Ironically, the disk was software from the Centers for Disease Control.
  2. Are the demos really free?
Yes, they are.  You can install the demos wherever you like.  Each computer you install the demo on will run that demo several times then ask that you register (purchase) to continue using it.
  3. Is your software Year 2000 compliant. ?
Yes. The registered (purchased) version of our software is Y2000 compliant.
